- Attention: It is the mechanism by which we select for active processing of a limited amount of data from all the available information that we receive through our senses.
- Reasoning: A special kind of mental activity that allows our brain to synthesize and analyze the information available to us to make a successful choice.
- Spatial Awareness: This is the ability to perceive the position of two or more objects, and the relationship between them or to the observer. It is one of the most important visual perception skills, and requires an understanding of basic spatial concepts such as up/down, front/back, right/left.
- Motor Skills: The ability of the student to move objects or to move himself. It includes the performance of simple and more complex movements that require fine handling. Such movements include holding a pencil, cutting with scissors, and manipulating the mouse cursor on the computer.
- Coordination: The ability to control hand movement in response to information received through vision is called visual-motor coordination, and is necessary to coordinate movements and successfully respond to what we see.
