There is a new version of the Eligence platform. What should I do?

When there is a new version, no further processing is required since Eligence as a web platform is automatically updated through the browser.

In order to access all the new functions immediately, it would of course help to clear the cache of your device.

What is the cache?

Your cache is a temporary storage space for data, which can be reused by the web browser in the future. For example, if you visit a web page, the cache can store a copy of its information so that if you visit it again it can load it faster.

A quick way to achieve cache flushing is by having the browser you are using open:

From Windows

  • Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete simultaneoysly
  • Ctrl+Shift+Clear Browser Cache and select the Clear Browser Cache command

  • From Mac
  • press the Option-Command-E keys simultaneously
  • a new window appears
  • select the Clear Browser Cache command.
  • Immediately afterwards you should close the browser and log back in as soon as the memory clear has been performed.

This function applies to most browsers.

In more detail the procedure is as follows:

From Windows

Google Chrome

Go to the top right menu, to the three-dot icon in Chrome, and select Settings > Advanced > Privacy & Security > Delete browsing data or History > History > Delete browsing data or More tools > Delete browsing data.

Mozilla Firefox

In the latest version of Firefox, go to the menu with three horizontal lines (hamburger) and select Options > Privacy and Security. Go to History and set Firefox to either remember, never remember, remember only cookies, etc.

This section also has an option to “Clear Browsing History”. Select it to choose the amount of time you want to clear your history, and what kind of data will be deleted. (history, cookies and cache).

Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer

Go to the three dots icon in Microsoft Edge and select Settings > Privacy and Security – Select “Choose what to delete” under “Clear browsing data”.

Opera

Under Opera’s main menu, in the left navigation pane, select the clock icon to enter History. You’ll find the “Clear browsing data” option that gives users almost identical capabilities as Chrome, even down to the “from the beginning” option.

From Mac

Google Chrome

Go to the top right menu, to the three dots icon in Chrome and choose Delete browsing data or History > History > Delete browsing data or More tools > Delete browsing data.

Select “Clear History” in the History menu. Then, choose the time interval in the next window to decide by when you want to delete your data. This option deletes your browsing history, but also cookies, as well as the data cache.

From Tablet

On android the default browser is Chrome.

  • select the three dots in the menu
  • select History
  • select Edit, “Delete browsing data”,
  • you will be taken to a dialog box that allows you to delete all browsing history, cookies and cache data.
